Sequoia National Park

On Thursday afternoon we headed to Sequoia National Park.  The park is only about an hour and half drive from our house, but as we learned you had to drive another hour/hour and a half to get the the Sequoias.  It was quite an interesting drive....we spent most of the time driving right on the side of the mountain, but it was beautiful.  I had no idea the trees grew at such a high altitude!  I'm so glad we ventured out because it was amazing.  I am really thankful for our move out here.  We are getting to see some unbelievable things I don't think we would have seen had we not lived out here.

Tunnel Rock

After our stop at the visitor center: Lily got a button, bear puppet book, a floppy hat, and another book to add to her travel collection.

Hospital Rock - some one got hurt when we were at the visitor center.  One of the rangers wisely said, "well...at least they were at hospital rock."  clever.

about to walk the Sherman Trail

Lily loved being carried down the stairs.  she said "weee" the whole time.
