Lily's birthday celebration was not just limited to her party. We did a couple of fun things with her on her actual birthday. It started with us meeting up with David for lunch! We went to
Raising Cane's. Yum!
Daddy with the birthday girl!
Next, Lily and I headed to Toys R Us. I signed Lily up for
Geoffrey's club a while back. We got a card in the mail for $3 off anything in the store. It said to go to the counter and they would have something special for the birthday kid. When we got there they gave her a birthday balloon and crown! It was so cute. Lily had the crown on, but took it off before I could take a picture. The other really neat thing they did was announce her birthday to the whole store. Lily was too little to understand what was going on, but I can't wait to do this again when she is older. She will love hearing her name and birthday announced in the store! I got Lily a couple of things from her birthday money, and we had lots of fun playing with all the toys in the store. Here she is with her balloon and her pup pup wearing her crown.
Later that night, we headed to church for dinner and a Lenten service. It was fun for her to get to hang out with some of her friends, and her church family. My parents also joined us, so after the service we headed to
culver's to enjoy some frozen
custard! Lily loved her chocolate and m&m sundae! After that, we headed home for her to open a couple more presents!
She loves Toy Story and
Tweety, so I just had to get these bags for her :)
New Yo
Gabba Gabba bath toys!
Peeking in the bag! There were lots of books inside!
Yo
Gabba Gabba silly bands!
Finally, that evening we played with one of her new birthday toys - a bubble machine! She had so much fun with it. We eventually had to hide it because she didn't want to stop playing with it. Both Lily and the floor had to have a bath after all the fun we had!
It was such a fun day for all of us! I can't believe our little girl is already 2! It really has flown by.
