Christmas Train

First, Hooray! I'm finally updating my blog!  Only took me a month...

After helping David put up the Christmas lights outside, we came inside and Lily and David put together his train.  Lily loves trains, so she really enjoyed it this year.  Here are some really cute pictures of that evening.

Fun in the Big Tub!

I have been hesitant on switching Lily from her baby tub to the real bath tub. I'm not sure why, I think some of it had to do with her being much less mobile in the small tub, and the fact we didn't have to use nearly as much water. Well, we finally decided to make the switch! It was funny to me how much it didn't affect Lily. She is used to being in the tub because we had the small one in it, but she never had that much space. I decided to take a few pictures of her playing in the big tub with all of her Yo Gabba Gabba friends!

Night Night Gracie

Every night when Lily goes to bed she takes her yo gabba gabba blanket, her pup pup, her bear blanket thing, and woody. The other night we looked over and she had covered Gracie up with her blanket, given her pup pup and bear, and told her night night. Here's the proof!
I love Gracie's face...she looks like she's thinking "seriously mom"

Typical Girl

Lily has turned into such a girl! She loves to talk on the phone. The best part is she will wander all of the house talking AND she uses her hands when she talks. My mom came out to help us unpack right after we got here, and we both got cute pictures of Lily talking on the phone with Auntie Ashlee.

We also got Lily some sprinklers for the backyard. The grass here is so soft and perfect for outdoor play. Here are some pictures of her playing. She is also wearing the cute bathing suit Granny got her!

Fun Weekend!

The bucket head continues....

happy girl!
This weekend we hung out at Ashlee's house. My parents came up and spent the day with us. Since we were there all day, I brought all of Lily's sleeping stuff over so she could take her nap. She seems to only sleep well in the pack n play if she has all of her toys from her bed. If you don't know, this child sleeps with probably 15 animals and about 4 blankets. In order for me to carry all of these with me, I pack them in a tupperware tub. Well Lily decided this would be a very fun place to play...these are the results...
so much fun!

spoiled much? Getting tickled by Granny and Grampy!

Yesterday a bucket, today a drum

Not much of a description needed...the kid likes things on her head!

I love how her nose is smushed :)

there's my girl!

Happy Birthday Lily!

My little girl is now a year old...I can't believe it! I am amazed at how fast this year has gone by, and I am even more amazed at how much she has grown. It is so crazy to think a year ago she couldn't hold her head up by herself, and now she is quickly walking across our living room!

We celebrated her birthday on Tuesday at home with just the 3 of us. She got to try ice cream for the first time (which she loved), and then she got to open all the presents we had gotten for her. She wasn't very interested in actually opening the presents, but she loved what was inside. Below are some pictures of her eating ice cream and then opening her presents.

Unfortunately being one turned into no fun shortly after. Lily came down with the flu (just like the rest of us) right before we were suppose to have her party. After she had a fever for a few days (which we thought was a reaction to her 1 yr shots) we decided it was best to push back her party a week. We didn't want to be responsible for getting lots of people sick. Thankfully I hadn't bought the snacks yet, so we didn't lose any food.

Now that we are all feeling much better, I am so excited for her party this weekend. I am so glad Lily will be back to her happy self for her party.

More Pictures

It's been a while since I have updated, so I decided to post a variety a pictures from the last few months. I can't believe how fast Lily is growing up. She has been standing on her own quite a bit, and I am sure she will be walking in the near future. I have started planning her birthday party...I'm so excited! March will be here before we know it! Enjoy the pictures, and I will try and be better about posting :)

Lily's First Christmas!!

We had such an amazing first Christmas as a family! I loved watching Lily open all of her presents, and we are now having such a great time playing with them all.
We started our Christmas celebration by going over to David's parent's house on Christmas Eve to exchange gifts. Lily had fun opening her first big present. We hung out for a bit at their house, and then headed back home so I could start preparing for Christmas Day.

Christmas Day has always been a big deal since David and I got married. It is the one time of year where we have all of our family over to have dinner at our house. We even had everyone over the year we moved into our house, which was on Dec. 17th....nothing like motivation to unpack :) I love getting the opportunity to make dinner for everyone, and I love entertaining!

My family always stays the night on Christmas Eve and we exchange presents Christmas morning. It was such a fun time. I swear Lily had twice the amount of presents as the rest of us combined! We let her start opening her presents first, but then had to give her a break...she got a bit tired in the middle. And she wanted to play with her gifts after she opened them. After all of the gift were opened, we set up all of Lily's toys for her her to play with them.

We had such a wonderful day! I can't imagine how much fun we will have next year! I will post more pictures later, most of the pictures we took were on my mom's camera, and I am waiting on getting them from her.
