Hanging out with Annie!

My mom flew out here on the 5th, and we have been having so much fun! 

Quick side note:  We have been calling my mom Granny since Lily was born, and we thought that was what she was going to be.  As usual, Lily had other plans.  She has been calling her "Annie" since she could talk.  At first I thought the "Gr" was giving her problems, but she says Gracie just fine!  So Annie it is!!  It is so cute and very fitting seeing as they both share the middle name of Ann :)  ok back to the story...



We mainly have been hanging out at the house with Lily, but we have made a few ventures out. 

The first place we went to was Valencia.  They have a very nice mall and shopping area.  We picked up quite a few cute outfits for Miss Lily, and I now have a favorite place to go shopping :)

This past weekend we wanted to go someplace fun, so we decided to go to the beach!  We drove down to Ventura to hang at the beach and look around the town.  It was only a couple of hours away, and a beautiful drive through the mountains.

Lily had so much fun playing on the beach.  Her favorite thing to do is to knock down all the castles her daddy (and Annie) can build for her.

Next, we headed to this shopping area.  Inside they had a carousel and an arcade.  Lily loves carousels and she was very excited to take a ride.  Thankfully it was a very long ride, so we only had to ride it once....but she still was sad to leave :(

There was also a preschool kids area with other little rides.  Lily was very excited so she took a turn riding each one

It was a great day, and we got to explore another great spot in CA
