Lily is going through a new phase of putting buckets on her head. And now it seems everytime I try and take a picture of her, she has one on her head. So here are a few with her block bucket on her head (see Erin, she loves her Christmas present!). And I'm sure you will be seeing more from the bucket in later posts :)

California!
At the end of January, David and I traveled to Bakersfield, CA to look at the area and houses. Since David had to work all week, we decided we would go exploring on Sunday. We decided to go to Paso Robles, a city with about 150 wineries. (We thought this would be a fun area to go considering we were Lily-less for the week.) We picked out 3 wineries we wanted to go to, but we ended up going to 4 based off of a recomendation. I love wine, but I don't know a bunch about it, so this was so much fun, and we learned a lot. If you ever come out to visit us, this will be one of the places we will take you :)

Since we had already travel about an hour and a half west of Bakersfield, we decided to keep going west and head to the coast. We were told by multiple people about an area on the coast where the elephant seals live. It was their mating/birthing season, so there would be lots of baby seals on the beach. It ended up being really close to the Hearst castle (somewhere we have heard lots about, but will have to go the next time we are out that way) near San Simeon. Here are some pictures from the beach.

One night for our cheat, we decided to have some ice cream treats. We have yummy dove bars and drumsticks. I decided it would be fun for Lily to have one, especially since she really likes chocolate. Well, she really enjoyed it :) She did have a few brain freezes though, which was kind of funny to watch. I took some pictures to document her first Drumstick, and here they are!

New Camera!
I got a new camera for Christmas!! Yay!! I was so excited! I loved the camera I had, but it had such a slow shutter speed. Seriously, Lily would be smiling for a picture and by the time it took she was no longer in the frame. We decided to get a Canon Rebel T2i, and it is great. I still need to learn all the different functions it can do, but it also works great as a point and shoot.
The pictures below are the first ones I took with the new camera. When I first got it, Lily was taking a nap, so I got some cute pictures of Gracie.
