Bucket Head!!

Lily is going through a new phase of putting buckets on her head. And now it seems everytime I try and take a picture of her, she has one on her head. So here are a few with her block bucket on her head (see Erin, she loves her Christmas present!). And I'm sure you will be seeing more from the bucket in later posts :)

even pup-pup thought she was crazy!

finally, a bucket-free pic!

Play date at the park!

Our MOPs group met at the park for a play date last week. We had so much fun! Here are a few pictures of Lily playing.

Fun under the rug!

Lily found a wonderful new place to play...under the rug in the living room! Who would have ever thought that was an interesting place to play, but Lily sure enjoyed it.

Here are some cute close ups of Lily.

Time for a walk!

Lily found Gracie's leash and decided she wanted to take Gracie for a walk. I put her leader collar and leash on her, and gave control to Lily. She walked G all through the house, over and over. I bet she walked her for about 15 minutes. I was proud of G for playing along :)

Cheese!

Everytime Lily sees my camera she points at it and yells "cheese". The other day after church she found it and wanted some pictures of her taken...so here they are :)

Love her!

California!

At the end of January, David and I traveled to Bakersfield, CA to look at the area and houses. Since David had to work all week, we decided we would go exploring on Sunday. We decided to go to Paso Robles, a city with about 150 wineries. (We thought this would be a fun area to go considering we were Lily-less for the week.) We picked out 3 wineries we wanted to go to, but we ended up going to 4 based off of a recomendation. I love wine, but I don't know a bunch about it, so this was so much fun, and we learned a lot. If you ever come out to visit us, this will be one of the places we will take you :)

1st winery- Tobin James

4th winery -Pear Valley (LOVED this place)

Since we had already travel about an hour and a half west of Bakersfield, we decided to keep going west and head to the coast. We were told by multiple people about an area on the coast where the elephant seals live. It was their mating/birthing season, so there would be lots of baby seals on the beach. It ended up being really close to the Hearst castle (somewhere we have heard lots about, but will have to go the next time we are out that way) near San Simeon. Here are some pictures from the beach.

so pretty

This was along the side of the road on our way back to Bakersfield.

It was so pretty, and you can see the Pacific in the distance

Just for fun!

Here are just a few cute pictures of our girls!

mmm...Drumstick

One night for our cheat, we decided to have some ice cream treats. We have yummy dove bars and drumsticks. I decided it would be fun for Lily to have one, especially since she really likes chocolate. Well, she really enjoyed it :) She did have a few brain freezes though, which was kind of funny to watch. I took some pictures to document her first Drumstick, and here they are!

Taking care of Brobee

One night Lily decided that Brobee needed to be wearing a diaper. The following are pictures of her cleaning Brobee and attempting to put a diaper on him. She was so funny this evening!

This is what happened when I told her to smile :)

New Camera!

I got a new camera for Christmas!! Yay!! I was so excited! I loved the camera I had, but it had such a slow shutter speed. Seriously, Lily would be smiling for a picture and by the time it took she was no longer in the frame. We decided to get a Canon Rebel T2i, and it is great. I still need to learn all the different functions it can do, but it also works great as a point and shoot.

The pictures below are the first ones I took with the new camera. When I first got it, Lily was taking a nap, so I got some cute pictures of Gracie.
