Santa = no fun!

Well...we did it...we tried to get a picture of Lily with Santa. Last year she did so well. She didn't smile, but she didn't cry, so I considered it a success. We weren't that lucky this year. She wanted NOTHING to do with the man in red. Below are the chronicles of Lily and Santa. Thankfully these were in my sister's neighborhood, so we didn't have to pay for proof of these lovely moments.

one last attempt...still not sure about him.
Let's hope this is just a phase, and maybe we can get a smiling picture next year?!?!?

Yo Gabba Gabba Live!!

I can't believe I didn't do a blog for this earlier! On December 10th we took Lily to see her favorite show live...Yo Gabba Gabba Live! Party in my City! at the Hobby Center.

We were curious to see how she would react to seeing them in person, since she has only seen them on the small screen. Thankfully, she was SO excited to see the show. She pretty much sat there with a look of awe the entire time.

It was already her favorite show, but she has a new found excitement for it after seeing it live. Below are the pictures from the evening. I will try and add the video I took on my next post. The look on her face when the characters came on stage is priceless!

Christmas Pictures

Ok...I know it is February, but I wanted to put these pictures up on the blog. We went outside to get pictures for our Christmas cards, but Lily was not in a very cooperative mood. She didn't mind her picture being taken as long as it wasn't anywhere near David and/or me. We ended up getting some cute pictures of Lily, which I was very happy about.

LOVE this one!

Later that evening, we tried taking pictures again. Lily was in a much better mood. We even got some great pictures of Lily and Gracie together.

I can't believe it has been since the beginning of the year since I have last posted. Well, things have been quite crazy, but I'm back now so get ready for some pictures. I am going to go back and cover some of the things I have missed.

Happy New Year!

We had a great night ringing in the new year! The 3 of us went to a NYE party at Jim and Lindsey's house. We went early so we wouldn't be out too late, but we got a good amount of celebrating in. Lily had lots of fun running around as well as dressing up in her New Year's beads! Lindsey had lot of yummy snacks and it was a great way to celebrate the start of 2011.

I'm looking forward to all 2011 has to offer. My life is changing in ways I never thought it would, but I feel like God is moving us to challenge ourselves.

I promise to post about Christmas, but I don't have the pictures from my mom yet so those will have to wait. I did get a new digital dslr camera right after Christmas, so I should have lots of new pictures for *hopefully* lots of new posts.

Thanksgiving

As Christmas is only 4 days away, there is no better time to update about Thanksgiving :)

We has such a wonderful Thanksgiving spent with both of our families. We started off going over to David's parent's house to enjoy lunch with them. We had so much fun hanging out with them, and Lily enjoyed playing with her cousin.

Afterwards, we headed back to our house, where I had to finish up dinner. We had my parents, sister, grandparents and uncle over. It is the first time I have cooked Thanksgiving. We had such a good time, and it was a very relaxing evening. Lily had so much fun playing with her Great Uncle. She would pick out colors for him, and then tell him where he needed to color.

Well...let's see if I can get my blog up to date before Christmas...cross your fingers!
