Baby Girl!!

I've saved the best post for the last of my updates...pictures of our new baby girl!!  We found out after Thanksgiving that we are having another girl!  We are so excited, and Lily is happy to be having a little sister.  On the 3rd we had another ultrasound where they do the fetal check to look at all her organs.  She is doing great!  All of her organs looked great, and she looked amazing!  I can't wait to meet her in May!

her legs are over her head...crazy kid

see her knees hitting her on the forehead

can't wait to see that cute little face!

BIG Girl Bed!!

Well my baby is almost grown up!  We officially changed her toddler bed to a full sized bed.  Lily was way to big for her toddler bed, and it made it hard for her to sleep through the night.  We decided to take Lily to the mattress store after we got back from Houston.  We had such a good time shopping for her bed.

They were having a sale on their full sized beds, where there were 3 different types all for the same price.  We told Lily to try out the beds and let us know which one she wanted.  She was so funny, when we tried to see what they felt like, she would say, "hey, it's my bed!"  After she tried all the beds, we asked her which she liked best.  She thought for a minute, and said "I want that one!"  Of course our daughter picked out the pillow top mattress, that was originally the most expensive mattress.  I guess at least she knows a good deal :)

David picked up the mattress on Wednesday, and we set it up as quick as we could.  Lily was very excited!!  She even got out her new tools to help us put the bed together.

Here are some pictures of our girl in her new bed!

she looks so big in this picture

She is so proud of her new bed, and that makes me so happy.  Now, next hurdle...potty training...

More Presents!

My aunt forgot to bring our gifts on Christmas day, so Lily received a package after we got back to Cali.  Once again, she was so excited to open more gifts.  I got some pictures so my aunt and uncle could see how much Lily liked them.

Hungry Hungry Hippos!!

On Tuesday we went over to the Retberg's house for dinner.  The kids always have so much fun playing together.  Our parents were also there, and I swear they outlasted all of us!  I say it's because all of our energy goes to watching our kids and it tires us out.  Regardless, we had to tell them to wrap it up because we were ready for bed!  It was hilarious!  I really miss getting to hang out with them, and I look forward when we all live by each other again!

Here are some really cute pictures of the kids playing Hungry Hungry Hippos.

Christmas on Monday!

On Monday we had Christmas with my mom's family.  We had a wonderful meal, and then opening presents!  Lily was so excited she was able to open gifts one more time!  Lily got some super cute pjs, the memory game, and Kung Fu Panda!  She was so excited!

Boompa opening the infamous "gray shirt"
Later that evening Stephen came over.  Lily loved the My Little Pony carousel he got for her, and she loved the new cute clothes he picked out for her.  She was having way to much fun modeling and dancing in them.

Christmas 2011

Christmas morning was so much fun!  Lily has really gotten into the spirit of Christmas this year.  She was so excited to see what Santa brought her, but she was even more surprised when she came downstairs and saw the milk and cookies she sat out had been eaten and drank.  Even now, if you ask her what Santa did, she will say, "He ate my cookies, and drank my milk."  It is so stinkin' cute!

She was super sleepy that morning, after going to bed so late, so our morning started around 9:00.  She had so much fun opening all of her gifts, as well as helping out everyone else with there gifts.  Every time she opened a gift, she would say "wow" and "thank you".  It really made the morning fun.    Here pictures of our day!

Later that evening we had Christmas with my Dad's family.  We had such a good time!  The evening was topped off with a white elephant exchange, and some hilarious family portrait books!!

I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas!  We certainly enjoyed being back in Texas with all our loved ones!

Christmas Eve

We started off Christmas Eve morning opening presents at David's parents' house.  Lily was glad she could finally open all of the presents she had been looking at for the last few days.

We had dinner with David's family, and then headed to the Christmas Eve service at our church.  It was so wonderful to see all of our friends and church family.  We have really missed them!  Lily was exhausted so she slept through the entire service, but thankfully she woke up so we could take some pictures before we went home.

Lily had to get some pictures with her BFF, nee nee.  They were such hams, and they were really enjoying David trying to make them smile!  Sorry for so many picture of the two of them, but they were too cute, I couldn't help it.

this is one of my favorites!

Lily and her Auntie Ashlee...not sure why Lily looks like Popeye

London wanted a picture with Lily too!
Then we went back to Ashlee's to get ready for Christmas morning.  Here is Lily enjoying the Mater cookie Ashlee made for her.  She loved these cookies.  Lily has the best Aunt ever!!

Then it was time for bed.  So Lily put out cookies and milk for Santa!

It was a great day!  Too bad Lily took such a late nap, she didn't want to go to bed that night!
