My little ballerina!

I have been wanting to enroll Lily in a ballet class for a while, but I never got around to it.  Today I decided to go ahead and register Lily and I for all our fall activities.  She will be going to a music class, and I will be a part of 2 MOPs groups.  (They only meet once a month with the second week being an outing, so this will give us something each week.)  I had decided to put her in one class - one that I wasn't completely happy with, but after their studio didn't answer I started looking online for another class.  Thankfully, I found a Mommy and Me class at a ballet studio.  I called and spoke with the owner, who was wonderful, and she told me the class was tonight.  We went and bought everything she needed: leotard, skirt, tights, shoes, and of course a dance bag, and we headed to our class.

She had a great time!  I think she will become more involved in the class the more we go, but she had a great start.  I'm so excited about this new adventure in her life.   Here is a picture of my little ballerina waiting for her class to start.

Tonight before she went to bed I asked her, "Did you have a fun day?"  Her response, "I love dance."

Seriously, does it get better than that?  Love her!

Funniest thing!

David got Lily a velcro glove and ball to play catch with.  That evening we were playing around the house.  I looked over and saw this!!

Funniest thing ever!  I was laughing so hard I was tearing up!

New Pool!!

The small inflatable pool we had for Lily finally bit the dust.  So it was time for a new pool!  David stopped after work and surprised Lily with the new and improved pool - including a slide!  She was so excited, she immediately ran inside to get her suit on.  She absolutely loves the slide!  She kept asking if she could slide again, we told her she could as many times as she wanted!  We have been out there every day since.  She is definitely becoming a California girl!

Here she is enjoying her new slide!

love her face in this one!

mad - she didn't like the camera

This is from the next day.  More pool fun!

wearing her boots and playing in the flowers
Best part of all -- after she decided she was done, she came inside and got dressed.  Later when we let Gracie out, Lily ran and got into the pool...clothes and all!  She had a blast! (until her diaper got crazy full!!)

Sister snuggles!

The girls were being so sweet together the other night.  I wish my camera didn't just focus only on Gracie otherwise this would have been the cutest picture. (need to figure out my camera)

I love my girls!

Seriously...this girls loves baths!

I know I have said it before, probably multiple times, but Lily loves taking baths.  When you ask he if she wants to take a bath she says, "bath?, I love baths" and runs to the bathroom.  She really hates her picture being taken, but recently she has been ok with me taking them while she is bathing.  Here are the cutest ones.

I love this last picture.  The girls went and got in the tub and started playing with no water.

Disneyland: The Sequel

We had one day left on our Disneyland passes, so with all of our traveling coming up, we had to go the first weekend in August.  It was a bunch of fun.  It was only the 3 of us, so it was a really fun family day!  We wanted to take Lily on all the rides she loved the last time, and we took her on a few new ones.  It was really a great day, but I can't wait to go back when the weather is cooler.  I think we are going to go back when it's all decorated for Christmas.

mmm...Wine!

After David opened his presents, we headed out to Paso Robles.  It is a wonderful winery area.  As much as I loved Napa, Paso is lots fun because they have great wineries and are much cheaper.

Driving through the mountains always bring such neat views.  You drive through lots of agriculture, mountains, and you also pass lots of oil derricks.

We stopped at the first winery, Tobin James.  It's a neat place to stop.  It looks like a saloon, very cute.  And they have free tastings, so there is nothing wrong with that!  After that we headed to Bianchi winery.  They make a very good late harvest dessert wine that we have purchased before.  They have beautiful grounds, and Lily had so much fun watching the coy fish.  The best part of the whole thing was when one of the fish jumped up and scared her!  She jumped and ran over to David as fast as she could.  It was hilarious!

The last winery we stopped at was Pear Valley.  It is by far my favorite winery.  Little tidbit: most wineries that you go to don't grown their own grapes.  Usually they own the land their building is on, but the grapes are grown in another location and someone else owns the grapes surrounding their winery.  At Pear Valley they acually own all of the land their winery sits on, including all the grapes.  They have a beautiful wine tasting area, and it sits on a hill. beautiful.  They also have amazing wine, which never hurts.

she loved these steps.

It was such a great vacation with my family.  I was telling my mom when they were here, this trip was special.  Usually we are traveling to go see people, so we don't get much just family time.  This time it was perfect because we really got to experience all of these things together.  It was perfect!
