More Pictures

It's been a while since I have updated, so I decided to post a variety a pictures from the last few months. I can't believe how fast Lily is growing up. She has been standing on her own quite a bit, and I am sure she will be walking in the near future. I have started planning her birthday party...I'm so excited! March will be here before we know it! Enjoy the pictures, and I will try and be better about posting :)

The Next American Idol...

On Wednesday night, David and I were watching American Idol. Since we were watching quite a few hours of tv, Lily ate dinner in the middle of our viewing. While she was in her high chair, she decided that she could sing better than those that were auditioning. Below is the video of Lily singing along to the auditions...

Gracie!!!

I know I always write and update on Lily and other things that our family does, but today I thought I would focus on the furry member of our family who sometimes gets overlooked...GRACIE!!!

Gracie joined our family the February after we moved into our house. After being married for 8 months, David finally gave in to my constant nagging to get a dog. I was always looking up puppies online and even changed the background on our computer to a puppy to help convince him we needed one. The choice to get a lab was pretty easy, seeing how I always wanted a larger dog, and David's favorite childhood dog was a chocolate lab. Well, finally one Saturday David caved and this was the result.

I can't believe she is now 3 years old. Every year she wears her birthday girl hat, and she gets some special treats from the doggie bakery! Even though she stresses us out some days (we are still waiting for the "puppy" to come out of her), she is definitely one of the family. I am amazed at the relationship growing between her and Lily. Lily can't get enough of her and loves to give her kisses, and Gracie constantly checks on her...it is so sweet.
Some people say that after you have your own children, your dogs stop being your baby and just become the dog. I am happy to say Gracie is still very much our first "baby" and a very important part of our family.

Christmas Videos

Here are a few videos of Lily from Christmas. The first is of her kissing her Brobee doll, and the second is her pushing her new grocery cart walker.

Lily's First Christmas!!

We had such an amazing first Christmas as a family! I loved watching Lily open all of her presents, and we are now having such a great time playing with them all.
We started our Christmas celebration by going over to David's parent's house on Christmas Eve to exchange gifts. Lily had fun opening her first big present. We hung out for a bit at their house, and then headed back home so I could start preparing for Christmas Day.

Christmas Day has always been a big deal since David and I got married. It is the one time of year where we have all of our family over to have dinner at our house. We even had everyone over the year we moved into our house, which was on Dec. 17th....nothing like motivation to unpack :) I love getting the opportunity to make dinner for everyone, and I love entertaining!

My family always stays the night on Christmas Eve and we exchange presents Christmas morning. It was such a fun time. I swear Lily had twice the amount of presents as the rest of us combined! We let her start opening her presents first, but then had to give her a break...she got a bit tired in the middle. And she wanted to play with her gifts after she opened them. After all of the gift were opened, we set up all of Lily's toys for her her to play with them.

We had such a wonderful day! I can't imagine how much fun we will have next year! I will post more pictures later, most of the pictures we took were on my mom's camera, and I am waiting on getting them from her.
